Origami museum-to-museum teleconference – Viewing instructions.

 

On March 12th, 10:00AM PST, we will have an origami teleconference between two museums: the Mingei museum in San Diego, and the Israeli museum of art in Ramat Gan. The first museum houses the “Origami Masterworks” exhibits, showcasing some of the greatest contemporary origami works. The second museum is where the Israeli Origami Center’s home office is located, and where an exhibition of origami artist David Brill opens on March 12th. For the opening of this exhibit, we are holding a teleconference on origami. This should be an interesting and exciting event.

 

This unique event will also be broadcast live on the internet, hosted by the Israeli company, “Tapuz”. To view the broadcast, you will need to register at Tapuz and view the transmission. Since the Tapuz website is in Hebrew, we provide you with pictorial instructions. So follow these simple instructions, login to the site on March 12th, 10:00AM PST, and enjoy the show!

 

First, go into the site www.tapuz.co.il/blogtv

You will need to open a (free) Tapuz account. You will see the following at the top of the page. Click on the button shown (“Register to Tapuz”)

 

 

Under the new-user menu, you will need to fill in your desired User name, password and email address. Once you have entered these details, you will need to click on the “Press to Register” button.

 

 

 

 

Some error messages you may get:

 

 You forgot to enter a password

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Registration will only succeed if email abs@hotmail.com (or any other email you have entered) is valid should I continue?

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the username you have selected is already taken by a different user, you will get back to the original enrollment screen, with the following additional list under the “Press to Register” button. The list shows some names that are not yet taken.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once everything is ok you should get the following window:

 

 

The mail can take couple of minutes to arrive. Note that the email will be sent by someone with a Hebrew name. This means that it will probably look like gibberish on your screen, and may very well find itself in your junk-mail box. The email’s contents are as follows:

 

 

 

Clicking on the link in the email message will bring you to the following window:

 

Fill in the mandatory fields: date of birth and gender.

Scroll down, and click on the “Update fields” button.

 

After Clicking this button, a window will pop-up asking if you would like to set Tapuz to be your homepage. Click “No” (unless you really like Tapuz and want to keep it as your homepage…).

 

Once the data is updated you will need to return to the blogTV webpage.  From this page, you can select a blog to watch.

In case you joined before the blogTV was broadcast and need to login to Tapuz, do the following:

Go to the blogTV webpage, and click on “Enter BlogTV”.

 

Enter your username and password and you are in!
